Weddings, baptisms and funerals

Revd. Peter Cook

Revd. Peter Cook

Rural Dean

The eight churches of the Benefice welcome weddings, baptisms and funerals, and are usually open for private prayer and quiet during the day - see the church pages for opening times.

During the vacancy, the first contact for weddings, baptisms and funerals (including churchyard matters) is the Rural Dean, Revd. Peter Cook. The Rural Dean is the priest covering this contact route while the Benefice is between appointments:

Weddings

The Weddings page introduces weddings at our churches, and the Church of England's own site, Your Church Wedding, is full of practical information about hymns, readings, types of ceremony, flowers, the costs involved and much more.

Baptisms and funerals

For baptisms (christenings) and funerals, including churchyard matters, please contact the Rural Dean using the details above.

Safeguarding at services for children and young people

All our churches follow the Church of England's safeguarding policies. If you have any concern about the safety of a child or vulnerable adult, please see the Safeguarding page, which lists who to contact.
